PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates of the MEGSI Program are able to perform their professional functions in:
Large companies, where there is a formal Information Systems and Technology function. MEGSI graduates will integrate this function, possibly leading it, assuming responsibilities compatible with their education, profile and professional experience;
Small companies, where the Information Systems and Technology function is not necessarily autonomous. In these organizations, MEGSI graduates are valuable elements given their preparation for the adoption and use of IT;
Consulting companies, leading or integrating project teams, assuming responsibilities compatible with their education, profile and professional experience;
Software development companies, performing the role of entrepreneur and leading product and service innovation activities, as well as managing software development projects.
COLLABORATION IN THE STUDENTS' CHAPTER SYMPOSIUM
Companies Interested in collaborating in the Symposium and other events of the Information Systems and Technology student group may express this intention to the Student's Group Management by contacting presidencia@aissc.dsi.uminho.pt.
PROPOSAL OF TOPICS FOR MASTER'S FINAL WORK
Companies in proposing topics for internships, in the context of MEGSI Master's Final Work (project work or dissertation), should contact direcaomegsi@dsi.uminho.pt.
Every year, in July, an invitation is sent with a call for proposals for topics for Master's Final Works to all partner companies of the MEGSI Program. This invitation includes instructions on how to operationalize the submission of proposals. The Master's Final Work takes place in the 2nd year of the Program, and in the 1st semester the students' dedication will be 50% and in the 2nd semester the students will dedicate themselves exclusively to this endeavor.
LAUNCHING JOB PROPOSALS FOR FINAL-YEAR STUDENTS AND GRADUATES
Companies may at any time send job proposals for final-year students and graduates to the Program Committee via email to direcaomegsi@dsi.uminho.pt. These proposals, after consideration, will be forwarded to the final-year students of the current academic year and graduates in the previous academic year.
Companies can also publish job offerings on the Bolsa de Emprego da UMinho, the platform for disseminating job and career opportunities at the University of Minho, which covers students, recent graduates and senior profiles from all areas/programs.
